We are next going to buy two humanoid robots as soon as they are ready, most likely the Tesla and a Boston Dynamics Atlas model, though this selection could change as AI and humanoid robots gets more advanced. It will get far more advanced at an extremely rapid pace. If they work out on a person assistant level, we will then add several to the workforce.
People don't like to hear this, but there are hundreds of jobs that could be done by a trained monkey, and AI is already smart enough to handle them easily. Humanoid robots also now have the dexterity, the balance, the strength, and tactile ability to handle these jobs better and more reliably than humans do them. We've spent more than two hundred years using machines to make jobs easier and easier. Now most of them are so easy than the robots we already have can do them.
People simply have to adjust the same way people always have, which is by getting a better education in areas where jobs will be in very high demand. There will always be people who can't adjust, just as there are people now who simply can't fit into the modern world. Millions of them. But the vast majority will make the needed adjustment.
