  1. My husband has been in the assembly line for a large company, and in 2010 or so many were screaming that robots will be taking over factory jobs or whatever. And here we are, in 2024, not much has changed. Rumors are not always true. There are things Ai can do, and there are things only humans can do.

  2. You're completely wrong. Soon, software won't even exist in the sense of code that can be looked at and understood. Imagine someone wants a new video editing platform: They'll us A.I. and prompts to create v1. Then they'll use further prompts to refine it. There will never be a code base that needs to be looked at. It's a black box. As the long as the "software" achieves the desired result, there will be no need to understand how it works on the inside. In the same way that when you employ a person, you don't really know what's happening inside, you only care that the job is done to an acceptable level of quality and reliability. Of course there will be exceptions where the code must be completely understood, like control software of a nuclear reactor or in aviation. But the vast majority of software could be replaced by more "analog" software created by A.I.

  3. Thank you soo soo much. it makes a lot of sense .. i picked up programming about a year ago. and i almost gave up this year because of the learing curve.. but you've rebuilt my hope . Besides without programmers there will be no Ai. And also the solution to complexity and flexibility will alway come from human beings alone .We Humans will always be the beginning and end, regardless.

  4. Well I'm from India,as per my observation it not going to replace coders, they will make them more efficient. But for sure the landscape is changing, we are entering into MAD landscape ( M=ML,A=AI,D=Data Science), it's very much like the plate shifts when you have the earthquake , these are small disruption may be micro disruptions. Davin will improve over a period of time, other competitors will also come.Open AI's ,success story can not be denied. It's not that we are running after technology rather technology is running after us.

  5. So you wanna automation software generation completely and lose contol over all design and security features? That will open up all doors for cyber attacks etc. Stop hyping those types of apps. AI will never replace software engineerng. We should start banning those apps instead of hyping them to make some money

  7. Do you know what AI is? It’s not just a programmer. AI will inevitably replace all non tangible jobs. Whether people like it or not. Waymo has self driving cars here in AZ. That is not a dream it’s reality, just like many have lost jobs for the 2 companies I work for just recently because of automation. I think you need to dig deeper for your facts and not so narrowly look at just encoding. Things are advancing so fast that it will be from one moment to another that people’s jobs will be obsolete and it’s just a matter of time until upper management finds out.

  8. AI will replace most swe jobs, and salaries will go way down. Wouldnt be surprised if swe end up making $55k a year, the demand just wont be there anymore.
