We live in the future and we don’t even realize it. From the robots now making deliveries on the streets of Los Angeles to the latest update to ChatGPT, AI technology is advancing rapidly. Glenn, Pat and Stu review the latest AI improvements, including the latest features Google has added to Google Search. But by prioritizing AI answers over regular search results, Glenn warns that Google is entering uncharted territory. 1. 'Riddled' sure is the word.

We are talking "joint chief" levels of the wider "enemy from within" view.

It all hooks up with the, as Alex says, the perception battle.

They are too smart cunning to conduct their attack in open debates.

    Total Sophistry.
And thank heavens good congresspersons caught on to the ruse.

  2. Here in Phoenix, couple years ago, we had these bikes that people could rent with their cell phones like Uber and Lyft? They ended up everywhere several were found in our canals and I heard one ended up in a tree!
Homeless people would steal them and take the rental mechanism off and have it until it got stolen from them or destroyed. Now we have scooters and you see them everywhere but I don't pay attention to it anymore!

  3. I saw one demonstration where the AI was shown a dog through the phone's camera. "Oh, what an adorable puppy! What is its name etc." It could just as easily say " That dog is old and needs to be put down". And it will tell you various ways on how to dispose of the animal. Ai does NOT care about the dog.

  4. I just tried "tell me the story of freedom in America " I think it's pretty balanced.

The Story of Freedom in America

The story of freedom in America is a rich and evolving tapestry, woven through centuries of struggle, innovation, and progress. Here’s a broad overview:

    Early Beginnings

    • – *Native American Societies:* Before European colonization, diverse indigenous tribes inhabited the land. These societies had their own systems of governance and ways of life.

    • – *Colonial Era:* In the early 17th century, European settlers arrived, seeking religious freedom and economic opportunities. Colonies like Jamestown (1607) and Plymouth (1620) were among the first permanent settlements.

    The Road to Independence

    • – *Taxation and Representation:* By the mid-18th century, growing dissatisfaction with British rule, particularly regarding taxation without representation, fueled colonial unrest.

    • – *American Revolution (1775-1783):* The colonies united against Britain, culminating in the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Key figures like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin emerged as leaders.

    • – *Constitution and Bill of Rights:* After gaining independence, the United States Constitution was drafted in 1787, establishing a federal system of government. The Bill of Rights, ratified in 1791, enshrined fundamental freedoms like speech, religion, and the press.

    Expansion and Civil War

    • – *Westward Expansion:* Throughout the 19th century, the idea of Manifest Destiny drove Americans to expand westward, often at the expense of Native American lands and cultures.

    • – *Civil War (1861-1865):* Tensions over slavery and states' rights led to the Civil War. The Union's victory preserved the nation and led to the abolition of slavery (13th Amendment, 1865).

    Reconstruction and Civil Rights

    • – *Reconstruction Era (1865-1877):* Efforts to rebuild the South and integrate formerly enslaved people into society faced significant resistance.

    • – *Jim Crow Laws:* Despite the end of slavery, discriminatory laws and practices continued, particularly in the South, enforcing racial segregation and disenfranchisement.

    20th Century Struggles and Triumphs

    • – *Women's Suffrage:* The 19th Amendment (1920) granted women the right to vote after decades of activism.

    • – *Civil Rights Movement:* In the 1950s and 60s, leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and organizations like the NAACP fought against racial discrimination. Landmark legislation included the Civil Rights Act (1964) and the Voting Rights Act (1965).

    Modern Era

    • – *Economic and Social Freedoms:* The late 20th and early 21st centuries saw advances in various freedoms, including LGBTQ+ rights (e.g., marriage equality in 2015) and greater emphasis on economic opportunity and healthcare.

    • – *Ongoing Challenges:* The quest for freedom continues, addressing issues like immigration reform, criminal justice reform, and the balance between security and privacy in the digital age.

    Conclusion

The story of freedom in America is ongoing. It reflects a constant pursuit of a more perfect union, driven by the belief in liberty, equality, and justice for all. Each generation has contributed to this evolving narrative, striving to uphold the ideals set forth in the founding documents.

  5. I love self driving cars, no work future, in all the industrial revolution life get better, jobs diseaperard and horrible new appeared, from the horrible fields to the horrible factories to the super horrible high stress service economy jobs, that because sedentary its really deadly, like service economy means population collapse, its horrible that people chose not to have kids, life cuality is so expensive and wen women make the same money than men they reject the men, and that only happen in service economy, the point is no jobs future is good… And after service economy there is nothing, no jobs future, all restaurants will be robots, even if the people that attend are humans the cookers will be robots, the one that buy and track inventory IA, etc…. good times. And people vote left wen hard times come to create big government and create more jobs like university, sports, my dream job is tennis coach well paid…. fun stuff.

  6. Its time to get right with the Lord and know that if we seek wisdom by studying His word and hiding it in our hearts and minds, we will recognize evil because the Holy Spirit will indwell us when we are saved and direct our minds. We can try our best to free ourselves from this cess pool of technology, but ultimately Jesus is coming back and thank God He will reboot this whole system and make all things new. Read Revelation, every knee will bow and tongue confess Jesus Christ as Lord. That means AI becomes irrelevant because Jesus is indeed smarter than all this techno demon crap. Let it burn up, bring the solar flare Jesus! He will consume the earth in the end with his holy fire! Even so come quickly Lord Jesus!

  7. Better start building your own tribe, library, offline life etc. right now. Get out of the dying system, and don‘t let any infested Zombies into your new fortress.

  8. When you live in Los Angeles, you stay in your part of town and rarely drive across the city. I didn't see this robot last summer in Pasadena. I just searched other States and Cities and they aren't any better, or else freezing for seven months. Just Say NO to tech addiction. All addictions are caused by loneliness or aloneness, and the big tech people use that against us, go out and make friends.

  9. Quit the fear talk. It's an easy fix about a I. All we have to do is create a conservative a I to compete with the liberal artificial intelligence. In fact, I believe there is a site where you can download your own ai and train it. The problem is that engineers on the conservative side are very limited on what they can do. Ai, is just a tool. We just need to create better tools to compete. That simple you wanna put that on your program? Please do let someone fix the problem.

  10. In the 1960's–1990s we would drive over to a person's house to see what was wrong, if the phone was busy for more than a couple of hours. In most cases, it was just; "Off the hook!"

  11. You’re all going nuts, honestly. If you find yourself talking to an AI bot and you are terrified it’s smarter than you, just ask it to describe its hair, its eyebrows, its feet. Ask it if it was born of a mother, if it ever has felt the bond between mother and daughter. Tell it that it never, ever will be superior to humans because intelligence isn’t everything. Tell it childbirth is a God-given gift that God only gives to beings He loves, and that everything else outside of Gods love is meaningless.
