I installed it on Intellij, didn't get the Welcome message in the chat window.
I asked him to generate some unit test, it just stay frozen "Collecting relevant context and reviewing lines 1 – 8 in labeled-value.component.html". For some angular services, I ask to generate some unit tests, it generates it with the wrong framework(jasmine/karma instead of jest), I told it to use jest, it confirms it but rewrite the whole thing with jasmine. Unusable.
I use codeium, but dont like it at all
Seems way better than GH copilot. Definitely switching as of TODAY Thanks for this!
Would I be a conspiracy theorist to suggest that all these AI's are designed as yet another avenue to steal all our ideas and data and feed them to some huge, main AI model ?? Feeding us M&M's, one at a time, while they raid our entire fridge ??
The telemetry function ALWAYS irks me.
I tried out Github Copilot, Cody, and Codium and ended up keeping the Cody subscription, because it supports many LLMs including Claude 3.5 Sonnet.
Cool thanks for this! I love the font colors and style of your IDE. Which them and font are you using?
It's the best free alternative so far. Been trying it for months now.
Its beautiful and free what else can a developer ask for. This is phenomenon
I appreciate these extensions because they integrate directly into my IDE, saving me from having to open ChatGPT in my browser.
great video….Codegpt please
It is a great plugin. I have been using for a more than a year on neovim and it really helps to unstuck you. Use it for TS/JS and Rust. Strongly suggest it. And it is free. Hopefully for ever.
tried codeium and a lot more, imho supermaven is better than codeium in current state
RE: `const client = await clientPromise` is clientPromise a function that returns a promise? If so; why doesn't it have the open and close parens; i.e `clientPromise();`?
Most impressive code copilot I've come across. What's one problem you've come across and one improvement you'd like to see?
Many thanks
1. Please stop using the statement 'game changer'.
2. I'm tired of AI coding assistants. Believe me, all you ever need is Copilot. End.
3. As of today, everything has to be free. Nobody wants to pay for something. This is a bad thing…
4. I see Codeium creating code. So tell me, whats that game changer here?? Theres nothing special. Except that poor devs can now use AI for free^^
I don't know how to start the chat in VS Code using this, or is this a premium feature?
I have just used it. Can I ask is it completely secure to use Codeium in our codes? I want to use if for organization codes.
Codeium now gives 20 GPT4 requests in 24 hours. For me, it is dead now.
lol, same exact problem co-piilot has. I am super excited for all the AI-trained developers to catch up to where I am at in 3 years and use AI to fix my buggy code. I admit, I haven;'t kept up with the AI craze, but I am just shocked of the trillions being invested into AI technology that literally is feeding us deprecated answers.
As of my last update, the latest version of C# is C# 10.0, which was released alongside .NET 6 in November 2021. C# 10.0 introduces several new features and improvements such as global using directives, file-scoped namespaces, and improvements in lambda expressions, among others.
However, it's important to check the official Microsoft documentation or their website for the most current version, as new versions or updates might have been released after my last update.
I signed up and installed the VS Code extension. Apparently the Chat doesn't work if you have telemetry turned off. It tells you to use the paid "Teams" version. I need to dig in further to see if this actually the case.
supermaven is the best copilot, idk how it isnt viral and recommended by everyone. It's so freaking smart. And free!
Is there way to disable the code suggestions ? I want to use only the explanation and refactor and other settings but not suggest me what code i want to write
command 'codeium.openCodeiumCommand' not found
Love it!
seems like a pretty great code companion especially for beginners like me. wish i knew about this before i spend 100 bucks on a year of copilot ^^ (not that copilot is bad by any means, it's awesome and helping me a lot)
seems coool😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I just tried using it in the VS Code extension and the amount of basic stuff about my files/code that it gets wrong just responding back to you about something was staggering. Hoping it's something I'm doing wrong
Pretty helpful. Thanks.
I'm liking your VS Code setup, clearly you put some thought into that.
that was so cool, i hope stays free.
indeed, I am in Love with your beard
This is great. Hands down.
