  1. When you consider the singularity and integration of people and ai, it kinda does away with the worry of losing jobs. It has the potential to give people true equality.

  2. Human level is a joke yet. We are not so easy to mimic. Big companies have to burn big $$ with small return. Because of competition no choice for them. AI use a lot of energy actually a problem for planet health, but humans do not care anyway it is trend for now. Robots will be useful in manufacturing. AI development will be fast in China because of no privacy issue so a lot of free data. In USA all data in YouTube facebook etc are protected. Anyway chip makers will make good money with AI development safely.

  3. by the way, we don't need expensive 'people' robots to vacuum, when we already have robotic vacuums. as for 'people' robots, I still want to know why we are setting human limitations (two arms/hands) to these robotics. Every mother on earth has asked for an extra set of hands, and now's our chance to give her them and with near-360 vision.

  4. The McKinsey report is not millions of jobs (30% of the workforce). There are 3.5 billion people employed worldwide (Statistica '24). That is 1.05 billion jobs eliminated (if the math is correct). The few tens of thousands of new positions working in AI will in no way account for this displacement.

  5. Which uniquely human behaviors do we need to be most concerned about AI displacing? Love? Compassion? Art? Music? Learning? Exploring? or perhaps sadism? Masochism? Torture? Murder? Rape? Genocide?
