  1. For the longest time, the next miracle in the PC market was to bank on high speed internet connectivity to do search, browsing, shopping, streaming, gaming and calling. The cloud based services to do AI are so much more powerful that all the AI โ€œfeaturesโ€ Microsoft is talking about seem like childโ€™s play. And now suddenly โ€œdoing AI without internetโ€ is cool? Why should people care?

  2. This reminds me of Digital Equipment Corporation, DEC, Alpha RISC Processor and their FX!32 applications that translated the Win32 code on the fly. It flopped because of a lack of native Alpha programs and Microsoft's reluctance to continue supporting the ALPHA architecture. The last OS release was a Windows 2000 version called Alpha-bits. BTW, FX!32 did run some Win32 programs faster than the native versions.

  3. Wait a minute…. switching from x86 to arm- doesn't that mean that 90% of video games on steam will not work for you anymore? Not to mention the new "recall" feature that literally takes screenshots of everything you do. Ai seems lovely ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

  4. so i have 2 computers i have copilot on my laptop and i have 2023 game pc my laptop 2022 acer yes my game pc would install windows 11 but i have to dig in to the BISO turn on secure boot state

  5. Dafuq? "copilot, look for updates on the topic of leightweight camera equipment, that combines several purposes in one item. if there is significant news shared often, sum it up in an email and send it to me and all of my employees, do that daily at 8:00pm." if something that says ai pc is not capable to do manage such tasks, then its just a big fart of hot air.

  6. This is just spyware not an advance. Why should Microsoft be allowed to dictate what goes on my computer or to collect my data every second. Linux here I come.

  7. No. Not enough simple explanation/. $1200 USD would equate to over $2,000 AUD by the time it hits Aussie shores. I think I will buy a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S8 atm on eBay.
