  1. Apple M1 and above series already have NPU which is why they are faster for running a small quantized version of big models, but i don't see that helping out any basic users. Which popular software are using NPU, NONE …everything nowadays are cloud based. Until we don't see a large number of software adoptiong NPU there is no need for such chips thus paying extra $500 , but if you are a newbie developer then maybe go for it cause even pros uses cloud farm to train and host their models.

  2. microsoft announces its thin client will be subscription only the only connection with business is selling the cloud services offerings.the world does not want more landfill from ms to join their historic attempts at cheap hardware to form monopolies.

  3. These people in the studio clearly have no idea what they are talking about, this "AI" PCs is just a way to market new model. Quote "its a great machine" etc. This PC has no chance of running large language model (atm). This is just a classic example of people that are consumed by the market industry and are riding on a trend and from that making "classified" hypothesis. It is sad that we see people in studio of CNBC being so short sighted. Love CNBC for its work, just get some fresh air to these studios regarding AI/Technology topics.

  4. The Washington Post reports. Data centers for AI and crypto mining are huge energy vampires. And the resurgence of domestic manufacturing for everything from semiconductors to EV batteries and solar panels are also expected to put extra strain on aging power grids. –

🤔And as we all know, companies that profit off the AI, crypto mining and EVs will pass their cost of energy to the consumers, as the working class and poor will see huge increases in their home electric bills.

  5. Yeah but who's AI they probably got some creep inside the box telling you to eat your own urine but the AI told you to do it trust it it works 60% of the time 100% of the time. You can especially trust those Microsoft yahoo's having stolen their operating system for multitasking and all that other sheite. Nevermind. Everybody knows the Linux is the operating system of scholars and all the rest of those creeps just copy it and try to commercialize it clowns.

  6. Josh, since years, AI chips are there.. if not since decades …
They can't build enough advamced chips. Im not talking about the scrap chips, but tthe good ones, 3nm, 2nm, 1nm.. only few global companies can make them.. that's ehy, the Science and chips act from Biden to break this monopololy. We are fortunate that these chips will be made in future in America and Germany (allies), by NVidia, Intel, etc.
But the Hardware is not gonna get common Josh, not the good one.. there will always be a shortage of most advanced chips… and chip comanies will be in High demand, because like you said, the hardware cycle has aleeady started and future is in software-BASED ON THESE CHIPS OF COURSE😅
Software companies need chips and Chipboards like Blackwell, to run software and servers on.. where do you think they are going to get the chips? From NVIDIA!!
EHO Do you think will be printing money and increasing profits every year? NVIDIA!
The companies mike Microsoft, Google, Facevook, Amazon are trying hard to make chips as good as NVIDIA.. They are gonna make those chips alright! But not anytime soon, and when they do, NVIDIA would be selling even better chips then those of microsoft and google.

  7. Companies : okay what do we have now
    Employees: products and serivces

Companies : "AI " , just add what ever you have

    Employees: okay we have water

    Companies: YES

  8. @02:38 – What did this "expert-Investor" just say? — AI "PC" is something we had not thought of!? — Wait until they find out AMD makes Laptop PC Chips and is going to release GPU's CPU's and energy efficient "AI" laptops later this year. LOL @ CNBC "Experts"

  9. I like that the money wranglers can’t see the application areas but the engineers can and therefore the information asymmetry is going to make engineers richer than everyone.
