Kinda deviates from the last few years where they introduce a feature that's originally exclusive to the Pro models and then comes to all models one year later. I also thought the same about the Capture Button until I saw the case CAD renders on Twitter
Seems like iPhones are just turing into professional cameras. No other innovation happening. A better speaker system would be cool, fully water proof maybe, micro projector mode even. SOMETHING other than a better camera and slightly better battery life! 🤬

It's because they are not confident that the AI features works well. And any negative feedback will greatly affect the number of orders for its first month of launching.
Who cares about the color? Everyone I know that has an iPhone has a case because the phone is far too slippery and skinny to handle by itself and will be dropped numerous times. I have not seen the color of my phone in a year. I can’t even recall what color it is since I got a case I like and have not had any reason to remove it. 🤷🏼
The crazy thing is they had the tapping pinching and squeezing all the way back to the Apple Watch Series 6 cause I had it activated and because I’m a mechanic I kept pausing my music and skipping it all the time cause I would activate it and I couldn’t figure out how to shut it off lol but eventually did

Not gonna lie this overall is very Apple lol. Just very cool. Nothing too crazy just software at this point. I barely use AI now myself. I was worried about needing an iPhone right before Sept but the 16 doesn’t worry me
I usually upgrade every 2 to 3 years but to be honest until I see barely a notch, nearly little to no bezels, and long stretch(fingerprint in screen) it’s not needed. I have a 14 pro max and probably will just get the battery replaced for free. I’ll try to push 4 years out of it but you know the trade in deals🙄

does not make sense to me to increase the available storage capacity. In order to utilize such an investment an iPhone needs to offer more capabilities such as being able to be used as a MAC or something. Also, we have cloud storage. Of course, if you want to keep your data "safe" you can always export it to an external storage that only costs 100 dollars (SSD) or even less…
a touch sensitive button doesn't make it a professional camera..
