These tools are useless and shouldn’t be used. I want an option to select citations only from high-quality Q1 journals, ensuring they are up-to-date. Currently, only low-quality, open-access, and questionable journals are being cited.
Do you recommend paying for both Chat GPT Plus and perplexity, or paying for perplexity only?
Do you add your psychological problems to the prompt to entertain the viewers, or is it on purpose as some kind of prompt engineering to shame the system into creating better results?

Love your enthusiasm, love your prompts
Well depends. I already broke it twice. It DOES give some good answers, but on a very complex topics it falls flat on the face. It has even admitted it doesn't have enough data for my question.
My take: This AI proggies are just "expert systems" from a few decades ago, just running on stronger hardware and fed more data.
At the end this will be just tool, advanced, but still tools.
Perplexity is amazing. Much better than google searches
Hm, sounds too good to be true)) So can we say that it provide me with only accurate information from the web?
Perplexity now has its new sonar llama 3 based model which is 10 times as amazingly good
I signed up for a one-year free subscription with Perplexity, but they cancelled it after just one day without any explanation. Despite multiple emails seeking clarity, I've received no responses. It's disappointing to see such poor customer service from a company that should be setting a higher standard.
I don't see copilot when I log into perplexity.
I just found Perplexity, today and I immediately came to your site to see what you thought of the program. I LOVE the ability to upload my own paper and have it give me additional info, like a better conclusion, a correlated reference list (with subheadings), a structure from my paper for a future powerpoint … and even formulated images that I could use. HALLELUJAH !!!!
Your voice, and phrasing are very close to Russell Brand . I’m not going to where I learned that. I listened side by side. I was blown away. It’s not even listed as an option but as I’m a voice coach this came out of ether with an asterisk. Out of curiosity are you,and Russell Brand from a geographic region close enough to have colloquial word, accents, and word phrasing similar to this degree. Perplexity is so far ahead of Chat …
In a word, SHIT. But so is ChatGPT. The amount of time you need to "educate" the Ai, you're better off doing the research yourself.
In actual science research, I'd expect more than literature searching. Did it have an effect on something – apart from giving summaries? And on those summaries: do we know a bit about Perplexity searches for and selects sources to cite?
What’s the different in all these new tools VS. buying ChatGPT 4
this product is not ready for prime time… it even told me it was perfect… just don't ask it about itself and things like hallucinations… it becomes very defensive… gave lot of general answers when asking specific questions… i asked about its pro image product and it denied it existed… constantly had to keep asking the same question before it gave me the answer i wanted… it even admitted to being stubborn!
Tbh I prefer Krawl AI over Perplexity. It's more work-focused and I can get lot more things done using it because of the "tools" concept they introduced. Plus they are adding new tools to it almost every other week. It's not necessarily great for scientific research yet, but still more useful than Perplexity in other use cases right now I think
Where is the part where you can turn off training of your uploaded data? I rewatched multiple times but can't seem to find the demo.
Awesome video Andy! I'm a fan of Perplexity, however I'd love it if you gave my AI Research app, 'Chunk' a try. I think you'd love it. 'Chat' with all of your papers. Reach out to me and I'll give you a free account to test. Cheers!
I like perplexity more for research than gpt4
Wow, this is very, very interesting! So, with the Pro version, is it possible to create full-fledged books? I'm using ChatGPT4 to do this, but you can't always be sure the facts are correct. But, if you can access ChatGPT4 and Claude (Opus?) within Perplexity, I'm wondering if I could get the research done by Perplexity, then use Chat/Claude to create an outline, story, and book.
Would anyone recommend a pro subscription to this or Elicit instead? I’m not familiar with Perplexity but Elicit seems to be adding a lot of useful features which are explicitly helpful for academia.
How to turn off the thing where it retains the information you write
It’s been pretty bad at answering very basic questions for me. I’ve been using the free version because of the hype, and it’s useless.
So where will the answers come from for this app when the source sites fail from lack of ad dollars. No one is going to pay to advertise on a site where 80% of the hits are by bots. Also how many people are going to actually check the accuracy of the information, especially if the answer sits well with them?

Please consider increasing the information density by leaving out the attempts at being funny…or sarcastic…or whatever you are attempting to be other than informative….I would be much more amenable to watching your other videos if this were the case…as of now…I’ll look for other resources.
i tried to research a topic called SEC (special economic zones) in Mexico. Its just dead wrong what perplexity came up with because it does not ention that SEC got canceled years ago, not a single mention. great tool anyway.
The hilarious part of the prompt is just for color ot is it necessary to reinforce the request? I'm not kidding… I'm genuinely interested in knowing it 😀
Are you having a laugh sir. 5 searches a day. Google won't be worrying for long while yet then.
1. Great review, as usual! I pre-ordered the Rabbit R1 device, so they gave us a year's subscription to Perplexity Pro (a.k.a "Wizard Level"). 2. Where can I get a shirt like yours? It's awesome!
