  1. the misconception is, quantum computers are to replace current computers at doing everything. NO. quantum computers can do certain things very, very, unbelievably, million times better than a modern computer can do. cryptography or modeling bio or physics models is what it does incredibly well.

  2. Quantum computing is going to send humanity light speed ahead compared to todays computing.

If its so advanced as everyone says it is.

I feel sorry for all the people that died in the past that didnt get the chance to live longer and happier lives.

Computing enables people to live longer and better lives.

  3. also note – it's mathematically impossible to "back up" a quantum computer… (ab)^2 can't equal (a + b)^2. =D This is why error correction is so important for quantum computers… the physics is complicated.

  4. Crazy how all this tech just comes down to vibrations/electricity. Humans are truly on the path to becoming gods. We came this far in such short time period, we're literally mastering life itself, most people are just too worried about surviving to understand it or care to 'which is totally understandable', but imagine if all at once billions of people could come together to achieve that goal.

I believe in extraterrestrial life but i Truly believe humans are one of a kind and just might be The Most Advanced in the universe.
Think about it. Billions of life forms on our planet over billions of years and outta nowhere we become this

  5. If Google is making a quantum computer which is zillions of times more powerful than the most powerful supercomputer, why is their custom tensor chip on their pixel phones so flaw filled with bugs and lackluster mediocre where Qualcomm, Media Tek and Apple are all way superior?

  6. Quantum computing is riddled with so many errors and so far no one has found any ways to do error correction. That's about the end of the intrigue or usefulness of this technology until a breakthrough solution is discovered. It's a money pit with no practicality until then, but totally worth exploring for the off chance that it should ever truly pan out. What people don't understand about spending on scientific research is that the value of the discoveries being made far outweighs the cost, even though the cost may be enormous, and never produce any useful results. Many advances are made after a technology has been abandoned and repurposed.
