  1. People saying AI will take over jobs are just wrong. With that logic, lawn mowers would have gotten rid of lawncare businesses. Turbo tax would have put CPAs out of business. And the ability to cook in your home would have ended Meal Prep companies. People pay for the convenience of someone else doing it themselves. I do my taxes every year with Turbo Tax yet see hundreds of people every year going to H&R Block and paying way more. AI will always be a tool because humans are too lazy to do the things they simply don’t want to do.

You can easily go grocery shopping but companies like Hello Fresh and Marley Spoon are worth millions.

  2. So when are we going to stop pretending that AI is just a tool, and won't threaten our jobs? If Dora or any other AI website builder will be able to satisfy 90% of the market needs, then even the last remaining, seasoned designers, will have to deal with massive pay cuts since there won't be many job openings or freelance gigs anymore, and AI will be able to do most of the job anyway. Clients will be able to make crappy websites themselves, and who's going to tell them that the website sucks? All this bs about "there will always be a need for a human to verify AI outputs" is just a massive coping mechanism. Clients' do not value design as much as we do, they care about profits, and if AI will be able to give them profits for 1/1000 of a human designers' price, then why pay a designer? To make the product slightly better? What for?
