As an Apple user, I pretty much expected this much from them. I knew they were holding their cards to their chest (like always) to really push out any major possible bugs before a product launch. Now, let's keep in mind, this is just the FIRST step of Apple Intelligence. I'm sure they will have many more features in the years to come. (opens wallet and looks inside) Time to upgrade my phone…..

Here’s my take: we who already have a compatible apple device are going to love this, but I suspect most of the rest of you will not likely jump on board and go out an buy a new phone right away. I think people will wait until the next, or even the release after the next phone/iPad release because I think Apple (very likely) has some very cool stuff in the works. It would suck to buy a phone now and then find out in a year that we absolutely must have new version with all its glitter and glory.

Nice. I may even buy the iPhone. What I don't like is to change the photo and, say, create an imaginary context placing this person in the realistic winter scene. Makes me wander if another photo I see is original. I will then want a program that analyzes the (any) photo for artificial changes, which is something we can do today with NASA pictures already.

Am I the only one left flat by this non-announcement? Basically Apple are saying they're finally going to integrate AI into their iOS…..? Big whoop, it's overpriced "status symbol" kit already, and the features advertised are just basic AI enhanced existing apps. Where's the bit announcement??
Be careful what you wish for. AI will never be able to incorporate the human element which is infinite in nature. Scientists have yet to find a way tap into the infinite flow of reality without affecting it's essence. Even super computers rely on "time slicing" to process info. Photons are great for sending data, but at some point they need to stop and be processed. Biology isn't like that. We are analog, not digital. All AI will do is complicate our lives exponentially. We will receive fraudulent calls incessantly via video cams from our loved ones asking for money all the time. AI will only position the elite further away from the Artist or common man or woman. They will be safe and secure in their secluded homes of indifference, jacking off to this, that, or some other thing that turns them on. AI is the way of "Psychotica". Have a blast fuking up the planet a-holes.
