I mean piracy and sterling stuff is bad, but from a legal standpoint nothing they do is illegal, there is no problem downloading copyrighted material and using it locally for whatever reason. The material is used to train the AI but at the end it's only used to adjust floating point values up or down, you're not re-releasing the copyrighted material.
Yet we are the ones buying the products to support these hypocrisy. The consumers should stop buying apple products so they have no money left ….. 😂😂😂 What a joke . Just keep doing it Apple , we the consumers support you all the way !!! 🎉🎉🎉
AI is not intelligent. All your years of creating your content and honing your skill set. Then companies are going to take that for free and make money from it.I hope they do not steal your inventions. And say A.I did it.
Using third party data scrapers is done for one reason and one reason only — to provide deniability in where the data was sourced. This is a variant of the game many companies that use illegal immigrant labor play to permit them to exploit cheap illegal labor while providing them deniability. For example: when Wal*Mart was busted using illegal immigrant labor to clean their stores they countered that they were NOT Wal*Mart employees and that it was the independent labor contractor that hired the illegals. Make no mistake, Wal*Mart had to know exactly what they were doing, but because the law is written to permit exactly this kind of exploitation there is zero chance that anyone in business will ever be prosecuted for this. Let's be 10% clear about this — Apple HAD to know that the data scrapers they hired were stealing data from the companies they were scraping the data from BUT also from the individuals who personal data was stolen.
It’s not piracy, this is free public content on the internet. YouTube itself might have something in TOS about not allowing it. But creators don’t get any say whatsoever cause it’s not their website.
Can an Apple sit down hundreds if employees listen to all the content on YouTube and compile there experience? Is that stealing your intellectual property? To me that's a hard sell. If I used the knowledge I have gained by watching your videos in a freelance job, do you feel I owe you? Again a hard sell.
Let's play devil's advocate with Apple. If selling drugs and buying drugs are illegal. That means, selling stolen data and buying stolen data are also illegal.
I do 100% agree that AI training via using others content and material is pretty grimy, but I also think that the purpose of AI is to simply learn and make the best decisions faster than any human could in our lifetime and be unbiased at the same time.
Because AI pretty much has the capability to assimilate all information it has learned (unlike humans who by default forget vital information often and unconsciously) to predict the best case scenario decisions, I think that…no scratch that, I KNOW that we as humans should responsibly actively feed AI as much information as possible as it is the absolute closest thing that we can consider unbiased when making smart decisions.
If you think about it, this is what the Supreme Courts duty is which is why we need many people on the Supreme Court to make as unbiased a decision as possible when making a final ruling, as opposed to AI which would theoretically almost always make the best and better decisions because it only really has one job…use all information gathered throughout history to progress humanity. And the best part is that unlike humans, AI has absolutely no self interests and nothing to gain from unethical behavior (most likely).
as a human (because that’s how we have to think now due to the corruptness of the world) I feel like we finally found something that could actually for the first time change the world and humanity in the best ways possible with potential prosperity for all RIGHT NOW, and we should realize that because AI grows exponentially, it only gets better with time, which could be proportional to all of humanities overall happiness if the ego’s of just a handful of individuals who run the world would stop thinking about themselves and remember the Plot of the story of humanity which SHOULD be overall happiness and sustainability for all and to be AS STRESS FREE AS POSSIBLE!
For anyone who agrees, like and respond to this comment so that we as the people from all around the world can start the conversation and let the world leaders know that we know what they’re trying to do and the we plan on taking back our world from the few who think they can control us by creating artificial scarcity to line their own pockets with unnecessary amounts of wealth and power and then put a gun in our hands and tell us to defend them. NO MORE!
i mean, you put the info out there for free use, why is it illegal for them to use it exactly? you are acting like they stole it, but it was just on youtube, maybe someone can explain this better?
I truly believe companies will not ever obtain AI data ethically because its not profitable. To me, that just means we shouldnt have AI. Inherently AI can only plagarize so i honestly think it serves no purpose
Maybe avoid using others that seems to use worse scams and fraud than using freely available information about what you do in your videos, to enrich themself.
Just make it hard when you use abusers as example of soft abuse of me getting ideas from seeing your videos and being able to use it to make money…
Is your claim even fair that you want to have the legal right to the concept of your videos? You are saying I should be able to prevent all left handed people from using left handed tools without paying me.
Training AI is like teaching a person. It’s contradictory to say it’s okay for people to watch and reference your content without allowing the same for AI.
I actually make closed captions like the person you have hired. This is unrelated, but could you tell me a bit about their business model? I want to know if I’m doing it right.
Slightly illegal is illegal with an adjective, they hire companies that break the law without due diligence knowingly, like they've always done, no need to pretend they're not responsible for the result.

Sail the seven seas we must
Wow get there ass with the facts apple stealing, and saying there not at fault, but it's ok to to use stolen Data, hummm that is not right
Thank you so much for the actual transcripts for those of us using them
Actually you do not get to control what people do with your videos once you publish them. You open yourself to criticism and responses.
Rules for the butnot for me
Youre ab to collect a bag brother
Auto captions that suck😂
The King
AI is not intelligent. All your years of creating your content and honing your skill set. Then companies are going to take that for free and make money from it.I hope they do not steal your inventions. And say A.I did it.
So is this data laundering? After going through a couple different people, you can claim it's clean?
Aren't you the one was licking boots of apple? Such hypocrisy 😔
It’s true
It is publicly available, it's public data. Sorry bro.
As we humains can learn for it, as AI can.🐧
How dare someone or something learn from the very videos you put out there, shame. Everyone stop watching, listening or reading, you’re stealing

What wireless is he using?

Learning from mr beast is the wrong move. Nothing like ai learning how to cheat and steal
Seems fine to me
"Some" is an understatement. The majority of these AI training companies, if not all of them, use stolen content.
What can be Donne about this?
Great angle to look at training datasets. Is it stolen though? It's publicly accessible. If I cited you to friends would it be considered stolen?
Let's play devil's advocate with Apple. If selling drugs and buying drugs are illegal. That means, selling stolen data and buying stolen data are also illegal.
Sue them for copyright infringement 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Bro stop defending apple all the time like this is getting really obvious af
What a bummer

Yeah, but not all companies can afford to buy your transcripts, Markus! I mean, Apple is only the <checks notes> … richest company in the world… Oh.
You wouldn't download a car would you?
Tech companies: 👁 👄 👁 yes
Training AI is like teaching a person. It’s contradictory to say it’s okay for people to watch and reference your content without allowing the same for AI.
Sounds like a lawsuit in the making.
Data Scraper?
I actually make closed captions like the person you have hired. This is unrelated, but could you tell me a bit about their business model? I want to know if I’m doing it right.
Maybe if you and others complain and sue hard enough you can set AI back a decade with pointless regulation.
BTW China does not care about stealing your content—they'll gladly take more than just the transcript of your videos.
Shill ain't shilling now? Hmm, interesting.
Just say Apple stole from you!
Slightly illegal? Mostly illegal
Possession of stolen goods is a crime. Stolen data should be included in that.
stop complaining about them doing what they gotta do to make AI good. petty losers😂
Isn't this content, including the YouTube channel, owned by YouTube?
That's why I am building a privacy focused media l8censing, distribution, and streaming platform.
We block AI scrapers and bots from accessing the platform at the DNS level.
Slightly illegal is illegal with an adjective, they hire companies that break the law without due diligence knowingly, like they've always done, no need to pretend they're not responsible for the result.
Sue their ass Bro.
